General

  • What are the opening times of Exhale?

Exhale is open seven days a week (Mon-Fri 12.00–22.30, Sat-Sun 17.00–22.30) for all TU Delft students to use a space to relax, hang out, and recharge.

  • What time is upstairs open?

Create, the Creative Studio upstairs, is open every weekday from 17.00-22.30. Here, you can work on your own creative projects with guidance from our Creative Experts.

Move, the mindfulness studio, is also open every weekday from 17.00-22.30. Move is a space to meditate, relax, or practice your own workout.

  • Do I need an X-subscription to visit Exhale?

Nope! Exhale is powered by X, but you do not need to have a subscription there to visit and enjoy Exhale.

  • How long will Exhale be here for?

Exhale is a temporary project, realised with NPO funding. Exhale will be here until the 1st of December, with a summer break in July and August.

  • Are you closed during the holidays?

Exhale will only be closed during July and August. Other than that, we are open seven days a week.

  • Can I bring people to Exhale who are not students at TU Delft?

Exhale is primarily developed for TU Delft students. Do you want to show Exhale to a friend who studies at another university? You are more than welcome.

  • I’m an employee of TU Delft, can I come to Exhale?

You are welcome to enjoy the space and hang out at Exhale. However, please leave your laptop and meetings at the office. TU employees are not permitted to reserve Exhale for meetings.

  • What can I buy in the shop and how do I pay?

In our little shop, you can buy need-to-haves such as pencils and notebooks, as well as tote bags and reusable coffee cups. You can pay by pin (bank card).

  • Can I stream things in the cinema?

Yes! Unless it’s already in use for an event, you can come and stream your own stuff during opening hours.

  • What are the creative studio experts? How does it work, what type of thing can I work on with them?

The creative studio is open Monday to Friday from 17:00 for students to work freely on creative projects. Our studio experts are available within these hours. Each specialising in a different craft, they are always on hand to guide, encourage, and support you, wherever you’re at on your creative journey. Check which expert is hosting on which day here.

Events

  • How much do events cost to join?

Absolutely nothing! All offerings at Exhale are free.

  • Where can I see the events that are organised at Exhale?

You can see our calendar here. We organise two events a week, and every month new events are added to the calendar!

  • How do I sign up for events?

You can sign up for our ticketed events on our website. Please note that there are also events you don’t have to sign up for. Just drop by!

  • I can’t sign up for an event that is shown on your website anymore. Is the event full?

If there is not an option to make a reservation, this means the event is already full. You can either check back later in case there have been cancellations, or you can show up before the event to see if any spaces have become available last minute. We cannot guarantee there will always be space left but we will do our best to find you a spot.

  • How do I cancel my attendance for an event I signed up for?

You can cancel your attendance by clicking the cancellation button in the confirmation email you received when signing up. Please do so, because by cancelling you are giving an opportunity for another student to sign up and enjoy the event!

  • Should I still come along even if the event is fully booked?

Sure! In our experience, there are always a few no-shows at our events. Come to Exhale ahead of the event and there’s a big chance we can still squeeze you in.

Co-creation & Reservations

  • Can I make a reservation for an event I’d like to organise?

It’s our goal to build a programme run both for students and by students. If you’ve got an idea, no matter how small or large, we want to hear from you! There are two ways to organise events with us:

    1. Reserve a space for a small gathering (max. 25 people)

    – Living room
Monday–Thursday: max. 1 living room setting
Friday–Sunday: max. 2 living room setting

    – Cinema: can always be reserved if there is no programme.

    – Create: you can reserve max. 1 table (8 seats) if the programme allows.

    – Move: you can reserve max. 10 mats in Move, or half of the space if the programme allows.

    2. Create an event in partnership with us (max. 150 people)

    – For example workshops, quiz nights, talks, or debates.

    – We need to hear from you at least 3 weeks before the desired date of your event.

    – Small budget available.

  • How do I make a reservation or a request for co-creation?

Send an email with your idea, date, and number of people to connect@ready-to-exhale.com and we will get back to you soon!

Please note, at Exhale we are supporters of slow living, we believe in healthy work boundaries for our team and do not participate in grind culture. This means our social accounts are monitored on weekdays until 17:30 only, and not at all on weekends. We appreciate your patience and will get back to you at our earliest convenience.

  • Can I organise my event privately?

We ask you to be inclusive and welcoming to everyone. This means that others must also be welcome to join or use the space if they so choose.

  • Is it free to make a reservation?

Yes, reserving Exhale is entirely free of charge.

  • Can I play my own music when I make a reservation?

Unless you have reserved the whole space, the music is determined by the host / studio expert.

Food & Drink

  • Can I help myself to coffee and tea?

Yes! You can enjoy all the coffee and tea you like for free.

  • Can I bring food and drinks to Exhale?

Sure, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to Exhale, as long as you clean up after yourself. Did you bring something from Cafe X? Make sure to return any utensils to the cafe when you’re done.
